also having the issue of non-working patching due to supposed modifications in some weird swedish locale files that sure have never been touched or used (running english only).
3rd full client download attempt running now (2 failed already).
not using steam for eve.
can't we have .torrent file? why must you offer a torrent as .exe?
where i come from, torrents are served as ".torrent" files and webservers deliver binary files as "application/octet-stream" *grr*

3rd full download also failed.
more than 10 Gigabytes of wasted traffic so far.
starting 4th attempt. :(

4th attempt (this time with curl) failed as well.
this time some error after just 1358 MegaBytes.

5th attempt failed like 4th just much much faster.
now i'm at attempt number 6.
this time i'm downloading via Total-Commander on my Win 2003 Server development machine.

Problem is: FF is not really a solution. While FF seems more reliable than Safari to download the eve client. FF also has this issue (just not as often).
From the last 6 Full client downloads via FF over the last months only 2 were successful.
i now finally have a working .dmg (sadly after resorting to download from a windows box).
but no wonder that there is so much trouble, browsers and download tools tend to behave strange when a binary download gets served as "text/plain; UTF-8" with a file size of >3GB.
they should fix their servers and serve them with the correct mime and i'm sure the problems would be gone.
windows seems to have no such issues even while their installer .exe gets served as "text/html" which is oddly enough.

confirmed, mime type is now fixed.
did a test and downloaded the full client with Safari.
download finished without any hiccups and mounted fine :)
